Maharashtra's Ladka Bhau 2024: New Allowance Scheme for Unemployed Youth Announced
The Maharashtra government has introduced an encouraging initiative for the state's unemployed youth, known as the Ladka Bhau Yojana 2024. Under this scheme, eligible young individuals will receive a monthly allowance ranging from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 to support them while they seek employment.
Ladka Bhau Yojana: Support for the Youth
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced the Ladka Bhau Yojana, which aims to provide financial assistance and job training to unemployed youth in Maharashtra. Specifically targeting men in Solapur district initially, the scheme will offer:
- Rs 6,000 per month for youth who have completed their 12th grade
- Rs 8,000 per month for diploma holders
- Rs 10,000 per month for those with a bachelor’s degree
Eligibility and Benefits
The Ladka Bhau Yojana is designed exclusively for the educated youth of Maharashtra. To qualify for the scheme, individuals must be actively seeking employment and meet the educational criteria mentioned above. The allowance will be provided monthly, including during on-job training in industries, ensuring continuous support as the youth transition into the workforce.
Additional Initiatives
This new scheme follows the recent launch of the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin’ (Ladli Bahin Yojana), which provides monthly financial assistance to women.
